About Us
Fundación Manos y Patitas is an animal rescue foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life of abandoned dogs while also supporting families with limited resources. Our work brings together animal rescue and responsible rehoming, community programs, and the cultural pride of Guatemala.
We began as an animal rescue project, caring for dogs living on the streets. We provide them with food, medical care, sterilization, and a safe space where they can recover and prepare for a responsible adoption.
Over time, we realized that many of the communities we serve also face food insecurity. For this reason, we expanded our mission to provide food bags and basic assistance to families in Guatemala.
Today, we operate with empathy, responsibility, and transparency to create sustainable, long-term impact.

OUR STORY
Our foundation was born from the personal experience of our founder, who grew up in Tunas 1, Jutiapa, surrounded by dogs that shaped her calling for animal rescue and responsible care.
After emigrating to the United States, she discovered the power of solidarity and decided to create a bridge between those who want to help and those who need it most—a bridge that connects hearts, culture, and purpose through dog rescue and rehoming, as well as community support.
Today, that bridge drives rescues, strengthens families, and shares the very best of Guatemala.
